Synchronization Setup For Remote Users  

ACT! Consultant can synchronize individual databases with your LAN database. Synchronization is the most advanced feature offered by ACT!. Users are often surprised when they realize how much is involved in the setup and maintenance of a synchronized system.

If your sales people take their computers out of the office, both the remote users and the people in the office will make changes. Synchronization allows all users to reconnect with each other and exchange the information that has changed since the last time all computers shared information.

Synchronization maintenance is an on-going process, involving regular maintenance, troubleshooting and product knowledge. ACT! Consultant can provide on-going support by remotely administering your ACT! synchronization quickly and safely. 

Database and Screen Design

ACT! Consultant will work with you to determine the data requirements that meet your business needs. Not only can we modify your database, but we can customize the design of  your screen layout to display the data in a visually appropriate format - providing the best "view" of your data for all users.

We can group your leads, identify the sales rep, cushion field insertions and limit access to certain fields on a user-by-user basis by employing user specific layouts.

You supply the criteria, and ACT! Consultant will act on your request.

       Report Design    

ACT! Consultant can create customized reports to meet your organizational needs and style. Customized report design can include: adding fields to reports, redesigning the look of your reports, totaling results and adding groupings to reports.

 

Word-Processing Templates/Mail Merge 

With ACT!, you can customize word-processing templates using Microsoft Word, Word Perfect or the ACT! word processor. Templates are necessary for generating form letters and running mail merges. One of ACT!'s best features is its ability to tackle large mail merge projects. The word-processing capabilities in ACT! allow you to automatically print out letters and Avery forms from your contact records.

Maintenance and Support
 
Things invariably go wrong at the worst possible time.  As you use ACT!, you may require some database modifications or answers to operational questions.  

To keep your database running efficiently, maintenance procedures need to be performed on a regular basis. These are things like creating a solid backup, reindexing and synchronizing if using remote stations, installing new updates,...

ACT! Consultant can provide technical support as needed to solve ACT! issues, network, hardware, fax and e-mail problems and/or provide you with a scheduled maintenance review.
